Eastspring Investments Appoints Head Of Global Financial Institutions, Intermediaries

The newly-appointed figure – based in Singapore – has worked in the wealth and intermediary area for more than two decades, Eastspring said. She has worked at firms including Schroders and Fidelity International.

Eastspring Investments, the $256 billion asset management arm of UK-listed Prudential, has appointed Szu Yi Chin as head of global financial institutions and intermediaries, effective 1 September 2025.

Based in Singapore, she will report to Salman Haider, chief distribution officer, head of ASEAN, and chief executive of Eastspring Singapore, the firm said in a statement yesterday.

In this newly-created role, Chin will lead Eastspring’s global banks and intermediaries coverage across its distribution network. She will also work with internal teams to drive innovation in retail product strategies aligned with changing market demands.

“Szu Yi’s experience in asset management across distribution, retail, and business development roles over the years gives her a unique perspective on the industry,” Haider said. “She has a proven track record in the region and the wealth space, and her appointment reflects our continued investment in an agile, client-focused, and innovative intermediary business. I look forward to growing the Eastspring franchise and deepening client engagement with her partnership.”

Chin, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the wealth and intermediary sector, was most recently head of wealth for Asia-Pacific at Schroders. Prior to that, she served as country head for Taiwan at Fidelity International, and held senior positions in intermediary and private banking sales for Southeast Asia at both Fidelity and Deutsche Bank.

She holds a bachelor of business degree from Nanyang Technological University and is both a CFA and CAIA charterholder.

Eastspring, which has operated since 1994, manages $256 billion in assets (as at 31 March 2025) on behalf of institutional and retail clients. It is headquartered in Asia and is part of Prudential plc.
