Former VP Bank CEO Joins WRISE Singapore

A senior figure in Switzerland's private banking sector, and CEO at VP Bank for half a decade, now joins a relatively new kid on the block of wealth management.
Former VP Bank chief executive Paul Arni has been named as non-executive director at WRISE Singapore, with immediate effect, the Asia-based digital wealth management group said yesterday.
Arni will inform WRISE Singapore’s corporate strategy, governance, risk appetite and advise it about significant risk events, the firm said in a statement. This news service reported on Arni's departure from VP Bank here; he had worked at the Liechtenstein-headquartered bank for five years.
Besides his VP Bank position, Arni has served in leadership roles at banks such as Deutsche Bank (Switzerland), Julius Baer in Zurich, and Credit Suisse, also in the Swiss city.
"Robust governance and effective risk management are critical foundations for success, and I am committed to ensuring that the firm maintains the highest standards in these areas,” Arni said.
WRISE Group is expanding. Earlier in March, it launched its Shenzhen office and its WRISE Academy in the Chinese city. In January last year, it opened an office in Dubai. In November 2023, it appointed Shigehiro Suzuki as market head of Japan. (This news service has interviewed Derrick Tan, chairman of WRISE Group, about the business and its strategy.) WRISE was founded in 2022.
The WRISE Group of companies includes WRISE Wealth Management (Singapore), WRISE Wealth Management (Hong Kong), WRISE Wealth Management Middle East Ltd (DIFC, regulated by the DFSA), WeWrise Services, and affiliated companies WRISE Prestige Securities (Hong Kong), WRISE Prestige Asset Management (Hong Kong) and WRISE Financial Services (Hong Kong). WRISE is a platform linked with financial partners including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, UBS and others.
