Indosuez Steps Up Singapore, Hong Kong Operations

The France-based group has made a number of appointments across Asia in recent weeks.

Indosuez Wealth Management, the wealth management brand of Crédit Agricole Group, has enhanced its team in Asia with three new senior appointments in Singapore and Hong Kong SAR.

Starting immediately, the firm appointed Sandra Nilsson and Vikram Narayanan as investment advisors in Singapore, as well as Horace So as head of compliance in Hong Kong SAR.

With their experience in international financial services and a strong understanding of key markets, these new appointees will bolster Indosuez’s suite of wealth management offering in Greater China and Southeast Asia markets where it has a growing presence, the firm said in a statement.

The firm, part of French financial services group Crédit Agricole, has made a number of hires in north and southeast Asia. Earlier in August, it added a number of team members

Nilsson is joining Indosuez’s Singapore branch as an investment advisor. With close to 20 years in the banking and financial services industry, she is experienced in portfolio management, credit structuring, cross-border financing and wealth planning. Prior to Indosuez, she was an investment director at Bordier & Cie (Singapore) where she focused on thematic investments and discretionary mandates for key clients.

Narayanan is also joining Indosuez’s Singapore branch as an investment advisor, managing mainly non-resident Indian clients and family office clients, the firm added. Having worked at Standard Chartered Bank, ICICI Bank and Julius Baer, he has gained sales and advisory experience in private banking over the past 12 years, covering multi-asset class solutions for clients from Singapore, Indonesia, India, and the Middle East.

Prior to joining Indosuez, he was a portfolio manager at an external asset manager based in Singapore. With a strong interest in macro developments which affect global markets, his strength notably lies in US equities and emerging markets fixed income.

Horace So is taking on the role of head of compliance at Indosuez’s Hong Kong SAR Branch. Reporting to Olivier Livenais, chief executive officer of Indosuez’s Hong Kong Branch, So will oversee the compliance function of the branch, such as the management and control of regulatory risks inherent in banking activities, the firm said.

So, who is a veteran in compliance, has 20 years of experience in the field along with experience in private, investment, corporate and retail banking, the firm added.

He has worked in compliance at major financial institutions, such as Standard Chartered Bank, Barclays Capital Asia and Barclays Bank in Hong Kong. Prior to Indosuez, he was head of compliance at East West Bank, Hong Kong.

Welcoming the move, Omar Shokur, Asia chief executive officer of Indosuez, said: “As Indosuez continues to grow in Asia, these appointments will help strengthen our capabilities as leaders in the wealth management industry and bolster our portfolios.”

Olivier Livenais, chief executive officer of Indosuez’s Hong Kong Branch, added: “We are confident these new appointments will enhance our offerings so we can continue to serve our clients with exceptional quality.”

Indosuez Wealth Management is located in Europe (Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Spain and Switzerland), Asia-Pacific (Hong Kong SAR, New Caledonia and Singapore) and the Middle East (United Arab Emirates). It has €135 billion ($140 billion) in assets under management as at 31 December 2021.
