RBC Appoints Former UBS Figure For Senior Singapore-Based Role

The newly-appointed figure has a 25-year track record in the investment and portfolio solutions space, working at UBS, Credit Suisse, HSBC and Société Générale.

Royal Bank of Canada has confirmed that Steven Fong, formerly of UBS, has been named executive director, head of investment and portfolio advisory in Singapore.

Fong had announced his appointment on his Linkedin page. RBC confirmed details when contacted about the matter.

With 25 years of private banking experience in investment and portfolio solutions, Fong joins RBC from UBS, prior to which he served in various senior roles in advisory and discretionary portfolio solutions at Credit Suisse, Société Générale, and HSBC Private Bank.

In March, RBC Wealth Management Asia appointed Kamran Azim, chief operating officer (COO), as head of private banking, Singapore.

WealthBriefingAsia recently spoke to RBC, along with other banks in Singapore, about the work it does to serve external asset managers.
