Singapore-Based Temaswiss Rolls Out Ethics, Conduct Risk Courses

Temaswiss, the Singapore-based training organisation working to build talent in sectors such as private banking, has officially launched its course on ethics and conduct risk, tapping into demand fuelled by international drives to stamp out corruption.

Temaswiss, the Singapore-based training organisation working to build talent in sectors such as private banking, has officially launched its course on ethics and conduct risk, tapping into demand fuelled by international drives to stamp out corruption.

The organisation – which has written about wealth industry issues for this publication recently – says the course, held in its Singapore centre, is likely to be the fastest of its masterclass courses designed so far (five weeks). The course is relevant in light of how the US Federal Bureau of Investigation has formed a unit to tackle global corruption, while authorities in Singapore have looked to improve how corporate whistleblowers can sound the alarm on suspect behaviour, Temaswiss said in a statement yesterday.

The Singapore-based course starts on 13 February. Expert sources feeding into the course include Transparency International and Kroll, Temaswiss said. There are also courses in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Other courses are slated for parts of Africa and the Gulf region of the Middle East.

The firm caters for industries including shipping, bunkering and freight inspection; commodities trading and related supply-chain functions, and land and real estate.
