International law firm Charles Russell Speechlys has appointed an international arbitration and investigations partner, Peter Brabant (pictured). He is based in Singapore.

With Brabant's hire, the office â€“ which opened in July last year â€“ has a disputes service offering.

Brabant has more than 15 years’ experience acting for multinational clients across Asia-Pacific. He has particular expertise in resolving international construction and energy disputes, as well as investor-state arbitrations relating to decommissioning and energy transition.

Brabant also has a strong investigations practice. He acts for numerous Fortune 500 companies across Asia, Australia and the Middle East on matters ranging from anti-bribery/corruption, incident response and fraud to cybersecurity and anti-trust.

"Singapore is an important market for us and as the region continues to grow as a leading private banking and wealth management hub, Peter will strengthen our regional capabilities and profile,” Jeffrey Lee, partner and head of the Singapore Office, said.

Brabant’s appointment follows the arrival of real estate disputes partner, Andrew Ross, in London.

The law firm operates from 12 locations across the UK, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
