Winners Of The Thirteenth WealthBriefing European Awards – The Asia Connection

The recent WealthBriefing European Awards demonstrated how many of the winners are firms with a strong Asia business franchise.
The winners and finalists of the thirteenth WealthBriefing European Awards – announced here – included a number that have strong connections to the Asia-Pacific region.
For example, among the victorious firms in the awards were Indosuez Wealth Management, BNP Paribas, Standard Chartered Global Private Bank and RBC Wealth Management.
More and more organisations based in Asia, such as Singapore-listed DBS, and OCBC (via its Bank of Singapore business), have a footprint in Europe. The rising wealth of Asia means that the banks which have roots there have diversified, and Europe is part of the strategy.
A perusal of the list of winners also shows how technology businesses, such as InvestCloud, SS&C, ERI, Avaloq and Wealth Dynamix, are in the mix. These and others will typically have built, or are building, Asia links.
The awards programme is a global one, requiring firms to manage the cross-border needs of clients. The European awards, therefore, highlight not just the work done in Europe, but at times the global reach of many of these businesses.
