ABN AMRO Appoints Market Manager For Hong Kong

ABN Amro Private Banking has named Mark Chan as market manager for its Hong Kong unit, China International.

Chan brings a wealth of private banking experience to the company, having served as head of private banking for Greater China at Deutsche Bank, head of private banking for Taiwan at BNP Paribas, and head of private banking for North Asia at Rabobank. Prior to his new job, he was head of private banking for Mainland China at Bank of Singapore.

At China International, he will be responsible for building a team of private bankers in the China market. He will report to Gloria Sun, market manager for China and Taiwan International.

ABN Amro has been actively building its Hong Kong operations with several key hires over the past months. Among these moves was the relocation of Chris Lee, global head of market access and brokerage, from London to Hong Kong to build on its clearing business in the region.
