In an evening that brought this year’s awards to a highly enjoyable and entertaining conclusion, industry practitioners who have set the high standards necessary to stay ahead were awarded – with some high commendations also where judges felt it necessary to recognise their achievement. And as the audience was reminded, those firms and people who already made it to the shortlist had proven their worth.

A highly popular decision was the judges' decision to give a lifetime achievement award to Renato de Guzman, known to many as "Bing", who was chief executive of Bank of Singapore – the business that had been part of ING prior to its purchase by OCBC over five years ago – from 2010 to January 2015.
