Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Manulife Investment Management?

The latest senior wealth management moves, appointments and personnel changes in the Asia-Pacific industry.

Manulife Investment Management has appointed Kenneth Ong as head of equities, Singapore. He will lead the Singapore equities team and oversee the firm's Singapore equity portfolios.

Ong is joining from Lion Global Investors, where he spent nearly 12 years, most recently as portfolio manager for the firm's Singapore equity strategies. Previously, he served as portfolio manager for Indonesian equities and as an analyst covering global equities at the firm. Earlier in his career he worked at GuocoLand Group in investment and corporate planning.

The appointment coincides with the planned retirement of Hock Fai Chan, the outgoing head of equities, Singapore, and lead portfolio manager for the firm's Singapore equity strategies.

Chan, who has spent more than eight years at Manulife Investment Management, will be leaving the organisation on 31 December.
