A Trio Of Firms Combine For Art Tokenization Partnership

The firms are joining forces to help build Hong Kong into an international hub for art collection and blockchain financial innovation.

Three firms – a Hong Kong-based financial services group, a New York-headquartered traditional finance and a blockchain tech house, and an art specialist – have forged an art tokenization and blockchain finance partnership.

The pact comprises Eddid Financial, a Hong Kong-based financial services group; SageRock Capital, a New York-headquartered firm that blends traditional finance with blockchain technology, and art industry specialist ArtWise.

The trio are partnering to help build an international hub for art collection and blockchain financial innovation in Hong Kong, they said in a statement this week.

SageRock Capital specialises in investment structuring and asset allocation; Eddid Securities and Futures, a subsidiary of the Eddid Financial, employs its capabilities in Hong Kong's capital markets and financial services; and ArtWise contributes its art collection know-how.

The three parties will work towards developing routes for establishing art asset tokenization – a processmrepresenting ownership rights of physical or digital art as digital tokens on a blockchain.

“Under Hong Kong's mature and robust virtual asset regulatory framework, the tripartite collaboration will strictly adhere to the compliance requirements of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and other relevant regulatory bodies in advancing the research and development of art tokenization products,” the firms said.

The global fractional art market was valued at $1.8 billion in 2024, with growth predicted to continue through 2026 as tokenization increases accessibility, transparency and liquidity for both institutional and individual investors, advocates have said. (Source: Investax, 30 April 2026.)

This relates to physical artworks divided into tradeable digital shares. Estimates of the market size vary depending on definitions of what defines a tokenized work of art. Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are projected to reach $7.84 billion in 2026, rising to $26.06 billion by 2035, a compound annual growth rate of 14.28 per cent (Mordor Intelligence.) More than 1.34 billion NFTs were in circulation globally during 2025, though this includes digital collectables broadly, not just fine art. (NFTs are digital certificates stored on a secure blockchain network that proves ownership of a specific item such as art, music, or collectables.)

To put these figures into context, the Art Basel and UBS annual art market report, issued this year, said that the global art market returned to growth in 2025, with sales increasing by 4 per cent year-on-year to an estimated $59.6 billion – its 2022 record level.
