AMP Capital Names Manager Of New Zealand Portfolio

This publication brings latest news of moves and appointments in the Asia-Pacific wealth management arena.
Australia-headquartered AMP Capital has named Nick Cobham as manager of the AMP Capital Property New Zealand portfolio. The portfolio holds assets worth more than NZ$1 billion ($669 million).
He takes up the post at the end of November, AMP Capital said. Cobhman replaces Stephen Costley who left the business in June this year. Conor Collier has been looking after the fund on an acting basis in the interim, a spokesperson told this publication.
Cobham will be responsible for delivering the strategy, growth and investment performance of the portfolio, which includes a diversified portfolio of office, industrial, retail and development properties with a value in excess of NZ$1 billion.
Previously, Cobham was joint general manager of Property for Industry, a listed specialised industrial property investment company. He held the post for four years. Other prior roles have included development manager for McDougall Reidy & Co and Auckland manager for Capital Properties New Zealand, which was taken over by AMP Capital in 2006, with many of the assets being transferred to the AMP Capital Property Portfolio.
Cobham's appointment follows another recent senior hire, with Jonathan Armstrong having been appointed as divisional asset manager – retail in the New Zealand property team.
