ANZ has launched a new application that merges everyday banking with wealth management solutions. 

The new product, "Grow by ANZ," is part of efforts by the firm to simplify and make its wealth solutions more accessible to clients throughout the physical, digital and advice space, according to a statement. Key features include the ANZ goMoney every banking app, share trading, insurance tools and solutions, and the Smart Choice Super retirement savings product.

The app is initially available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and can be downloaded for free via iTunes. The firm said it is developing more of such tools to improve services across the board. 

The bank has been ramping up its digital offerings since the start of the year to address changing client appetites. In May, ANZ opened a new Grow Centre in Sydney, where wealth specialists can help clients download apps to their gadgets and show them how to manage their wealth online, while offering advice on super, investments and insurance. The company plans to open more centres in Melbourne, Auckland and Singapore in the next year. 

A few weeks ago, Singapore-headquartered DBS scored highly in a ranking of apps for wealth management clients, according to MyPrivateBanking Research. However, many firms were chided in the report for their shortcomings in the use of apps. To see that article, click here.
