UK-listed Aberdeen has hired Aidan Upton as senior business development specialist with focus on the asset manager’s £10 billion ($16 billion) multi-manager range.

Upton joins from Architas, AXA group’s in-house investment manager, where he was an investment development manager.

In his new role Upton will be responsible for the distribution of multi-manager funds to UK IFA platforms and networks. He will be based in London and report to Chrissy Shuttleworth, head of UK business development.

Aberdeen recently bolstered its Benelux business development team by appointing Christophe Palumbo as business development manager in September.
