Asian Multi-Family Office Names Group Chief Executive

The organisation, straddling several Asian jurisdictions, is forging stronger links with offices especially in Chengdu and Ho Chi Minh City.
The Asian multi-family office, Peakhouse, has named Berry Wong as its group CEO and announced that it is expanding its Hong Kong office in the Standard Chartered Building in the Central area of the city.
Wong brings more than three decades’ industry experience to the role, including his time as CEO, Asia-Pacific, at Charles Monat Associates. Wong led that firm’s growth in mainland China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.
Before his Charles Monat tenure, Wong was regional head of wealth planning at BNP Paribas. He also was senior director, wealth planning, at HSBC.
In his new berth, Wong will lead the team across its three hubs of Hong Kong, Chengdu in China, and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
“A distinguished multi-family office must provide UHNW clients with a holistic and independent platform, delivering a comprehensive and tailored approach to wealth management in navigating the complex economic environment, optimising investment returns and minimising risks,” Wong said. “This encompasses not only exclusive investment opportunities but also essential services such as business succession planning, family governance, tax strategy, and the development of the next generation to create a cohesive wealth management plan.”
Wong noted that Peakhouse will focus on “greater synergy” with its offices in Chengdu and Ho Chi Minh City, which have logged annual GDP growth rates of around 6 to 7 per cent, among the fastest in the region.
Harold Suriawinata, head of investment at the firm said: “The office expansion marks a significant milestone, reflecting our rapid business growth and unwavering confidence in Hong Kong’s role as a nexus for family offices and a vital connector to global markets. We are especially excited about enhancing collaboration with our offices in Chengdu and Ho Chi Minh City.”
