Australia's Centric Names New Chief Client Officer

The appointment underscores the company's plans for growth in the fintech sector.

Australian wealth management platform Centric has appointed former Praemium executive Martin Morris as chief client officer.

With over 25 years of industry experience, Morris is joining from Sequoia Financial Group, where he was chief operating officer, the firm said in a statement. Prior to that, he was chief distribution officer at Australian investment platform Praemium, which caters to the high net worth market.

In his new role, Morris will deepen relationships with Centric’s clients, the firm added, acknowledging his ability to understand clients' needs.

"Martin’s appointment comes at a crucial time as we continue to build on our recent successes and look towards future growth," Tony Roussos, co-chief executive officer at Centric’s parent company, Findex, said. "His proven track record in fostering strong client relationships and his strategic vision will be invaluable as we continue to innovate and provide our network of advisers with a platform that truly makes a difference in their clients’ financial journey."

Centric – an "innovative" wealth management platform in Australia – has recently achieved strong growth. It has doubled its funds under administration, increased the number of its platform users, and has solidified its position as a disruptor in the Australian platform market. The company says it is known for its advisor-focused fintech solutions, which offer a blend of quality, value, and simplicity to the wealth management industry. It also claims that it simplifies the investment process and enhances the advisor-client experience.
