The firm hopes that the new hire will help further develop its profile in the region, working with clients such as private banks and family offices.

Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva, has appointed Charles Wong as head of wholesale distribution Asia. He will be based in Singapore.

Wong will be responsible for growing Aviva Investors’ wholesale platform in Asia and managing the firm’s relationships with private banks, family offices and financial advisors in the region, Aviva Investors said in a statement.

He has over 12 years’ experience in fund distribution. He was most recently vice president of institutional distribution at Credit Suisse Asset Management.

“He [Charles] has a strong track record and the right experience to further develop our wholesale distribution efforts in Asia, helping to position us for further growth in the region,” said Louise Kay, global head of client solutions.
