BNY Mellon Opens Up Total Return Fund To Europe

The investment management unit of New York-listed BNY Mellon has launched a UCITS Dynamic Total Return Fund for European investors.

BNY Mellon Investment Management has launched a UCITS version of its $1 billion Dynamic Total Return Fund.

The Dublin-domiciled BNY Mellon Dynamic Total Return Fund, aimed at European investors, will replicate the strategy of its US counterpart.

The fund seeks to keep risk exposure down through investments in global equities and bonds, as well as currencies, commodities and inflation-protected securities. It will be managed by the group's subsidiary Mellon Capital Management, and led by Vassilis Dagioglu, who runs the original US version of the fund.

“We are seeing significant and growing client demand for multi-asset investment solutions,” said head of European distribution at BNY Mellon Investment Management EMEA, Matt Oomen. “The European launch of the Dynamic Total Return Fund gives clients the opportunity to invest in a strategy with a 10 year track record and the chance to benefit from Mellon Capital’s 25 years’ experience in the multi-asset space.”

“As one of the top performing funds in the Morningstar Multialternative universe, we are pleased to be able to offer this product to European investors within a UCITS structure,” added Dagioglu.

The fund will be available to investors in Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Denmark and the Netherlands.
