Bank Of Singapore Hires Former BNP Paribas Figure

The new head of product management group has 20 years of experience covering derivatives and structured products, advisory and capital markets.
Bank of Singapore, the private banking subsidiary of OCBC Bank, has appointed Shovit Sahai as head of product management group, with immediate effect. He is based at the bank’s Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) branch, the firm said in a statement late last week.
Sahai will report functionally to Vivienne Chia, head of Investment Advisory Solutions and Alternative Investments and Managed Solutions (based in Singapore) and locally to Ranjit Khana, global head, Middle East chief executive, DIFC branch, for alignment of the Middle East strategy and governance.
Previously, Sahai worked at BNP Paribas in Singapore where he had led the bank’s derivatives and structured products business across Asia since 2018. Prior to that, he spent 14 years in Citibank’s London and Singapore offices, working across various capital markets, advisory and product management functions.
Sahai holds a degree in electronics engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad.
The bank has been bolstering its coverage in the region with more senior hires recently, as reported by this news service here and here.
