Bank of America Merrill Lynch Names Veteran Banker To Lead Japan Securities Arm

Bank of America reshuffles senior ranks at its Merrill Lynch Japan securities arm.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch has strengthened its Japan securities business with an executive appointment.
Timothy Latimore assume his new role as representative director and president of Merrill Lynch Japan Securities effective 1 February 2014. He will also become the country executive for Japan.
Latimore has been with Bank of America Merrill Lynch for 20 years and most recently served as branch manager of BoA's Tokyo branch. Before that, he headed the financial sponsors group in the Japan investment banking business.
He replaces Jiro Seguchi, who will take up a regional leadership role as head of Asia-Pacific global corporate and investment banking. The current deputy branch manager, Koichi Kagawa, has been appointed acting branch manager of BoA in Tokyo.
Merrill Lynch Japan Securities is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the US bank. It has six branches in the country.
