Barclays Bolsters New York Wealth, Investment Unit With Four Hires

Barclays’ wealth and investment management division has brought in four investment representatives for its New York office.
Mark Leyton, Zach Shillingford, Gannon McCaffery and Darin Lauv will report to Mark Stevenson, managing director and regional manager for New York, Barclays said in a statement.
Leyton, managing director, joins from Deutsche Bank’s private wealth management division, where he focused on creating solutions for ultra high net worth individuals, corporate executives and professional investors. Earlier in his career, he advised HNW clients at Salomon Smith Barney and Lehman Brothers.
Also joining from Deutsche’s private wealth division is Shillingford, a director. He started working at Deutsche in 2005, and was an advisor to HNW clients at Janney Montgomery before that.
McCaffery, a vice president, previously served in Deutsche’s US private institutional client group, offering capital market solutions to UHNW clients and family offices.
Prior to joining Deutsche in 2010, McCaffery spent five years working in Barclays’ investment bank, concentrating on the structuring and distribution of fixed income products.
Lauv - also a vice president - joins after having spent 13 years at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Before MSSB, he worked at Prudential Securities in the private client group.
