Barclays Brings Over Former Forex Head To Lead UK, Ireland Private Bank

Barclays has made placed a new face at the helm of its UK and Ireland private banking operation.

Barclays today named Lisa Francis chief executive of its private banking operation in the UK and Ireland.

Francis and her teams will seek opportunities to strengthen Barclays’ existing client relationships through “bespoke” advice and solutions, Barclays said in a statement.

“Given the breadth and depth of her experience, Lisa is ideally placed to facilitate increased collaboration across the business and client access to corporate and investment banking products and services,” Barclays said.

Francis joined from Barclays’ investment banking unit, where she was head of European corporate foreign exchange sales distribution, covering corporate, private equity and financial technology clients across Europe and the UK.

“Lisa brings over 25 years of banking experience, a proven track record of growing businesses and strong client relationships with UK, European and global corporates,” Karen Frank, CEO of Barclays Private Bank & Overseas Services. “Lisa’s background, technical expertise and strong network of relationships will be of great benefit as we continue to invest in and grow Private Bank & Overseas Services and help our clients navigate through the global markets.”
