BlackRock Names New Head Of Asia Ex-Japan Private Banking Distribution

The investment management giant has handed the senior role to a familiar face in the region.

BlackRock has appointed Tom Keenan as head of private banks and wealth distribution for Asia excluding Japan.

Keenan has been with BlackRock since 2009, according to his LinkedIn profile, and most recently served as the firm’s head of private bank distribution for Singapore. Before that, he was head of exchange-traded fund specialists for Asia excluding Japan.

He will be based in Singapore. Keenan replaces Tan Yuan Kueh, who left BlackRock in late September, a spokesperson for the firm told this publication.

As recently reported, assets under management at BlackRock rose 14 per cent year-on-year in the third quarter to stand at $5.117 trillion at the end of September.
