Bravura Solutions Names CIO

Australia-based financial technology firm Bravura Solutions has promoted Terry McCann, previous head of IT, hosting services to the role of chief information officer.

Australia-based financial technology firm Bravura Solutions has promoted Terry McCann, previous head of IT, hosting services to the role of chief information officer. The role is a newly-created one, the firm told this publication.

Prior to joining Bravura, McCann was a director at DST Global Solutions. He will be responsible for supporting and growing Bravura’s Asia-Pacific business and to ensure the company has appropriate infrastructure and tools in place to deliver against strategic and commercial objectives. The move comes as the company sees increased interest in its managed service offering from across the Asia-Pacific region, the firm said in a statement yesterday.

“With 80 per cent of our EMEA clients using our managed services, and increasing interest worldwide, a clear trend is emerging. We see a shift in the way organisations provision software and it marks a growing acceptance of the cloud and the use of third party providers,” said McCann.

“As certain sectors of the industry move away from in-house arrangements we are well-placed to offer high quality support alongside our hosting partners. Our managed services enable firms to reduce operational costs and business risk, allowing them to focus on agility and core strengths,” said Tony Klim, CEO Bravura.

Bravura has over £1 trillion ($1.7 trillion) in assets administered on its solutions.
