Carey Olsen Adds Further To Asia Teams

The offshore law firm has made a number of hires in recent weeks.
Offshore law firm Carey Olsen[/tag has appointed James Webb as a finance and corporate partner in its Hong Kong office.
Webb, who specialises in Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands (BVI) law, advises on a wide range of debt transactions, including acquisition finance, leveraged finance, project finance, real estate finance, fund finance, margin lending, structured finance, bond issuances, general lending, distressed debt, security enforcements, work-outs and debt restructurings.
Prior to this, he was at Walkers in Hong Kong where he was a partner in the Hong Kong office. Webb is an offshore expert having previously lived and worked in both the Cayman Islands and BVI for nearly five years. Before moving offshore, he started his legal career with Allen & Overy, and spent nearly a decade working in its London and Singapore offices.
His arrival follows shortly after that of corporate partner Michael Padarin, who also worked at the same offshore firm as Webb in Hong Kong and the Cayman Islands.
Carey Olsen now practises Bermuda law directly from its Hong Kong office, with counsel Henry Tucker and senior associate Kyle Masters having recently relocated from Bermuda. Carey Olsen also appointed corporate and funds lawyer Andrew Tually to join its Singapore office recently.
