Changes At Top In Asia For Prudential’s BusinessesÂ

A former figure at Citi Private Bank will link Prudential's life insurance businesses with its asset manager, while the group said it has appointed a regional CEO for Indonesia, the Philippines and Africa.
UK-listed Prudential plc has appointed Chan San San, chief executive officer of Prudential Assurance Company Singapore, in the newly-created role of chief partnership officer at Eastspring Investments, the group's asset management arm. That appointment takes effect from 28 September.
Separately, Prudential said it has appointed Naveed Irshad as regional CEO for Indonesia, the Philippines and Africa, effective 26 October 2026. He will also take enterprise-wide responsibility for the health and product businesses and will join Prudential’s group executive committee. He will be based in Hong Kong and report to CEO Anil Wadhwani.
Irshad brings more than three decades of insurance and financial services experience across Asia and North America. Before joining Prudential, he held senior positions at Manulife.
Singapore
Based in Singapore, Chan San San will report to Rajeev Mittal,
Eastspring's chief executive officer, and join its executive
management committee. She will lead collaboration between
Prudential's life insurance businesses and Eastspring on
investment, wealth and retirement products for customers across
Asia.
Chan San San joined Prudential in 2024 from Citi Private Bank, where she was managing director and global market manager serving ultra-high net worth and HNW clients, families and family offices in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
Andreas Rosenthal will act as interim chief executive officer of Prudential Singapore from the same date while the group seeks a permanent successor.
Rosenthal was chief financial officer of the Singapore business from 2018 to 2025 and most recently served as chief enterprise value delivery officer at group level. He has also served in senior finance roles in Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines.
