Chinese Firm Looks To Spur Wealth Management Business Growth In City-State

The Chinese firm first opened an office in Singapore in October 2014.

Chinese-based firm CreditEase Wealth Management has opened a new Singapore office in Asia Square Tower. It opened its first office in Singapore in October 2014.

The new office is part of the company’s long-term ambitions to grow its global footprint through its expanding financial technology operation, CreditEase said in a statement yesterday.

"After 11 years of development, CreditEase has become an innovator and leader across various stages and areas of fintech including payment, marketplace lending, crowdfunding, robo-advisor, insurance tech and blockchain," said Ning Tang, chief executive. "We hope to integrate CreditEase's fintech innovations with the global resources in Singapore to fuel the growth of our wealth management business and to provide better global asset allocation services to high-net-worth domestic and overseas Chinese clients.”

In addition to Singapore, CreditEase operates overseas offices and affiliate offices in Hong Kong, New York, and Tel Aviv. In China, the CreditEase wealth management network covers over 40 mainland cities.
