Citi Private Bank Names Hong Kong-Based HNW Market Manager

The new manager has the remit to expand staffing of the Hong Kong HNW banker team.

Citi Private Bank has appointed Keith Lee as managing director, Hong Kong, high net worth market manager.

Lee reports to San-San Chan, CFA, high net worth head for Asia-Pacific at the bank, according to a memo seen by this news service.

“The high net worth segment has been identified as a high growth segment particularly in Asia given the prospects for wealth forecasted over the next few years,” the memo said.

Lee will increase the number of staff of the Hong Kong HNW banker team, overseeing the end-to-end expansion and daily management of this critical market segment.

In the financial sector for more than 25 years, Lee worked for 16 years at UBS. He has also worked in Bank of China Group, Citibank, ABN AMRO Private Bank and Standard Bank Private Bank. He started his wealth management journey as an associate banker, banker and then team leader.

Lee obtained his bachelor of business administration (BBA) degree from Schulich School of Business and EMBA degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) holder.
