Coller Capital Extends APAC Reach With Singapore Office
The firm operates in the field of secondaries – buying existing stakes in private market investments – a growing area as the alternative investment sector matures.
Coller Capital, which specialises in managing private market secondary investments, has set up a Singapore office.
As part of the move, it has named Peter Wu as head of product management, private wealth, in the Asia city-state. Wu, who brings over 14 years of global industry experience, was previously the global head of product control at Partners Group, Coller Capital said in a statement yesterday.
"The market for Asia Pacific private capital is rapidly maturing with rising market volumes, innovative transactions and a growing talent pool. Opening the Singapore office extends our commitment to the region and is another milestone in delivering our secondaries solutions to both institutional and private wealth investors in the Asia Pacific region,” Jeremy Coller, chief investment officer, Coller Capital, said.
Coller Capital’s Singapore office is its fifth location in the APAC region alongside Hong Kong, Beijing, Seoul and Melbourne. Its Hong Kong office was opened in 2012 and serves as the firm’s hub for the region.
Wu, who is to be joined by two local investor relations colleagues, will work with Coller’s private wealth secondaries solutions (PWSS) team, which was launched in 2023.
Coller Capital will market funds to institutional and private wealth investors indirectly through licensed intermediaries such as private banks.
Besides its Asia footprint, Coller Capital has offices in London, New York, Luxembourg, Zurich, Montreal and Singapore. The firm has $36 billion under management.
