DBS Group Hires Veteran Banker To Drive Indonesia Growth

DBS Group Holdings has named Paulus Sustina as its new president for Indonesia.

Singapore-headquartered DBS Group Holdings has hired Paulus Sutisna as president director of DBS Indonesia.

Sutisna joins from HSBC Indonesia, where he was head of client management for global banking. He brings over 25 years' banking experience and will sit on DBS Group's management committee.

Sustina's appointment comes as part of DBS's wider Southeast Asia growth strategy, of which the bank's 40 branches in Indonesia are a key driver.

Chief executive Piyush Gupta said the group will continue to expand its Asian presence, namely in Greater China, Southeast Asia and South Asia.

“Given Paulus’s extensive banking experience and wide Indonesia connections, I believe he will be able to help us build on our successes, and deliver even greater connectivity and value to our clients,” Gupta said.
