Digital Digest: The Latest Tech News - Bank of Montreal, EisnerAmper

The latest tech news in wealth management across North America.

Bank of Montreal
Canadian financial group Bank of Montreal has partnered with two Chicago-based tech startups to bring their solutions to specific customers.

Genivity is an Artificial Intelligence software platform helping advisors engage clients through life stage, health risk and elder care cost planning. SpringFour has created a financial wellness platform for the financial services industry that helps improve payment performance, reduce delinquencies and increase customer engagement by connecting customers with appropriate non-profit resources in their area.

Genivity will pilot its software with BMO Wealth Management's US business in the Hinsdale and Barrington suburbs of Chicago and in Florida's Sarasota and Naples markets. BMO Harris customers will have access to SpringFour's resources through the bank's website at bmoharris.com/findhelp.

EisnerAmper
Professional services firm EisnerAmper has launched a new business suite that helps firm link their operational, financial and technology departments.

The following service offerings are linked through this new suite:

Internal audit and regulatory compliance; IT risk and cybersecurity, and digital solutions and process transformation.

“Our Process, Risk and Technology Solutions professionals are far more than IT advisors,” national practice leader Jerry Ravi, said. “These industry experts will take a 360-degree view of a client’s risk-exposure points and provide a detailed roadmap to help them fortify and enhance their business and performance outcomes.”

Separately, the firm has opened a new downtown office in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The US-headquartered business has made a number of senior hires and business moves. As reported in July, EisnerAmper has built a real estate private equity group to tap expansion in the sector. Based out of the firm’s New York City office, partner Lisa Knee is the national leader of the group. Alongside her is partner Todd Hankin, who leads the West Coast practice from the San Francisco office; and partner Maureen Blair, based in the New York City office, who leads the East Coast practice.

In March, it opened an office in London in order to launch an operation in the UK before Brexit is finalized. (In April, it also officially opened its Singapore office.) The London office is led by Robert Mirsky, partner and head of the asset management practice group.
