Digital Innovation Head At Credit Suisse Leaves To Start New Role

The head of innovation at the Swiss bank has left the firm to start a new role at a German bank.

The man hired from fintech trailblazer Paypal to drive digital changes at Credit Suisse has left to join a German bank. Credit Suisse confirmed his departure to this publication, adding that he will not be replaced.

Holger Spielberg is to take on the role of group technology officer at Aareal Bank in Wiesbaden, with effect from 1 July. He has been at Credit Suisse for two years, holding the post of director of digital private banking.

Over the past two years, the Zurich-listed bank has launched its mobile private banking platform, notably choosing to start the rollout of this programme in Singapore. Spielberg spoke about digital changes and the need for innovation in the sector at a conference held in June last year by the publisher of this news service.
