EXCLUSIVE: Southeast Asia Wealth Management Luminary At US Firm Resigns

This publication can exclusively report on a senior move at one of the main Western private banks that operates in Asia.

One of the most senior figures at JP Morgan’s wealth management arm in Asia has left the US firm after a period of around three years, this publication can exclusively report.

Salman Haider, who was head of South East Asia at JP Morgan Private Wealth Management has resigned, effective immediately, this publication understands.

His future plans are unkown; WealthBriefingAsia understands that a successor has not yet been named. JP Morgan declined to comment on the matter.

Haider has held the post since July 2011, and was based in Singapore. From 2000 to 2011, he worked at Citi, with stints in Singapore, London and Zurich. Most recently prior to his shift to JP Morgan, he was region head, Asia-Pacific, at Citi Private Client and Citigold Wealth Management, as set out in his Linkedin profile.

From 1997 to 2000 he worked in the UK at Habib Bank AG Zurich.
