Eastspring Investments has appointed Faizal Gaffoor as deputy regional chief executive and head of products and partnerships.

Gaffoor, who joined the business in December, reports to Wendy Lim, regional CEO for Asia and global head of distribution, marketing and products. 

Singapore-based Gaffoor is responsible for growing the Eastspring franchise in Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam.

With more than a quarter of a century’s experience in the asset management sphere, Gaffoor was most recently MD and group chief marketing officer for UOB Asset Management. Prior to this, he was with Citibank’s regional investment products and distribution team. He holds a degree in mathematics and economics from the National University of Singapore.
