Former Julius Baer Asia CEO Gets A New Gig

The former Julius Baer CEO will be an independent member of the board.

Leonteq, an independent technology and service provider for investment solutions, has appointed the former chief executive of Julius Baer Asia to its board.

Thomas Meier will be an independent member of the board, the firm said in a statement.

Meier served as CEO Asia and a member of the executive board at Julius Baer from 2005 to 2015. He was also head of private wealth management and a member of the management board at Deutsche Bank (Luxembourg) and, prior to that, served as CEO of North Asia at Credit Suisse.

The firm made the announcement alongside several other managerial and board changes during a shareholder meeting earlier this month.
