Franklin Templeton Investments Adds Senior Executive In Asia

This publication carries latest news on moves and hires in Asia wealth management.
Franklin Templeton Investments, the US-headquartered business, has appointed Simon Coxeter, formerly of consultants Mercer, as managing director and head of investment solutions for Asia, a new role created by the firm.
Coxeter is responsible for developing and managing multi asset, multi strategy investment solutions for institutional and retail clients in Asia, excluding Japan and Australia. He is based in Singapore. This news service has asked if the role is a newly-formed one and may update in due course.
With more than 15 years of experience in the industry, Coxeter was previously principal for the investment arm of Mercer, where he evaluated multi asset and equity strategies. Before joining Mercer in 2010, Coxeter managed the Singapore operations of a European real estate private equity firm. In 2006, he co-founded AsiaSource Capital, an alternatives investment boutique based in Singapore and New York, where he launched and managed an Asia-focused fund-of-hedge-funds.
Earlier in his career, Coxeter worked in both Hong Kong and London as an equity analyst.
“We see strong interest in Solutions products from both Asian institutions and high net worth individuals,” Mark Browning, Managing Director for Asia Pacific, said.
Among other moves in Asia, the business recently named Adam Quaife as regional head of Southeast Asia and co-chief executive for Singapore. Previously, Quaife led the firm’s retail and institutional operations in Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East. In the new position he takes the helm from Stephen Grundlingh, who has moved to California to a newly-formed role as channel head of institutional strategy.
