Guggenheim Partners Creates New "Cross-Border" Division

New York- and Chicago-headquartered Guggenheim Partners has launched Guggenheim International - a new unit dedicated to building cross-border strategic partnerships and providing solutions to sovereign, institutional, corporate, and high net worth clients worldwide.
Mark Medish, a former US Treasury and White House official with experience in international and emerging markets, is president of the new division, while Steven Green serves as chairman, and Daniel Lucich - former deputy assistant secretary for international trade and investment in the US Treasury Department - acts as a senior advisor.
Medish, Green and Lucich will be supported in their roles by an advisory board comprising financial, industrial, regional, and policy specialists, the firm said in a statement.
Based in Miami, Green is currently chief executive of K1 Ventures, as well as a member of Guggenheim Partners' executive committee.
Medish, based in Washington DC, has over 20 years of experience in international affairs and global markets. Prior to joining Guggenheim, he was executive vice president of APCO Worldwide, and vice president at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
Helios, the firm’s first and current project, is a European solar energy initiative designed to generate at least 10 gigawatts of photovoltaic power in Greece by 2020. The firm was appointed as the strategic and financial advisor to the Hellenic Republic in March, to support the design and development of Helios.
Guggenheim Partners is a privately-held global financial services firm, with over $125 billion in assets under management.
The firm provides asset management, investment banking and capital markets services, insurance, institutional finance and investment advisory solutions to institutions, governments and agencies, corporations, investment advisors, family offices and individuals.
