HK Investment Advisor Teams Up With British Virgin Islands Company To Create Asia-Focused Fund

Hong Kong's Silverhorn Group partners with BVI-based Antarctica Asset Management to create a new Asia-focused fund arm.

Silverhorn Group, the Hong Kong-based investment advisory firm, has partnered with British Virgin Islands' Antarctica Asset Management to create a new Asia-focused fund arm.

Antarctica Asset Management Asia is based in Hong Kong and is led by Filip Vandenven, the head of business development at Antarctica, and Mike Imam, partner and co-founder of Silverhorn, according to a statement. The partnership is an extension of the BVI company's existing Asia business that started in 2001.

"Combining Antarctica's global research capabilities with Silverhorn's extensive local experience in wealth management, asset management, capital advisory and corporate consulting, the partnership has a unique offering," commented Imam.

The new fund will focus on researching the Asian hedge fund market. The firm said it has plans to hire local analysts who will be integrated into the global research team soon.
