The appointee, who has been at HSBC since 2019, previously worked at firms in the financial sector including JP Morgan and UBS.

HSBC Global Private Banking has appointed Ann Ling as the new regional head of wealth planning and advisory for Asia-Pacific, effective 1 July, it announced on Friday.

She will be taking up the role vacated by Henry Lam, who is retiring, a spokesperson for HSBC confirmed to this news service.

At present, Ling is team head of wealth planning for Hong Kong, Philippines and the international market, at HSBC. In total, she has more than two decades’ experience in the financial service sector. In her new role, Ling will be closely involved in delivering the bank’s wealth planning and trust advisory services.

At HSBC, Ling has developed the Hong Kong/London-headquartered bank's relationships with ultra-high net worth individuals and families, working in areas such as trusts, succession, and estate plans.
