London-based Heptagon Capital has appointed Christian Diebitsch as a European equities fund manager in a newly-created role.
Diebitsch joins from London-based Seilern Investment Management, where he managed the Stryx Europa Fund, Heptagon said in statement.
Heptagon said that appointment comes in response to investor requests for a European equity product that follows the same type of investment approach that Diebitsch has been executing for the past 10 years.
He started his career at Swedish trading house, Axel Johnson, in 1989 and has also worked at BNP Paribas and Kleinwort Benson.
"With his proven ability to create alpha in his strategy, we are confident that the addition of Christian to the team will benefit our ultra-high net worth and institutional client base as well as all our stakeholders and indeed provide insight and guidance to our in-house investment solutions," said founding and managing partner Fredrik Plyhr.
