Hong Kong's Family Office Association Re-Elects Chair

The association's creation five years ago reflects Hong Kong's push to be more of a hub for family offices.

The Family Office Association Hong Kong has re-elected Chi-man Kwan, of Raffles Family Office, as its chair.

The organisation also said yesterday that Grant Ko and Jim Kwok have been appointed as vice chairs, with Jim Kwok also being re-elected for a second term in this role. These appointments are effective immediately, it said.

The FOAHK marks its fifth anniversary this year.

Angel Chia was previously the chair of the association.

The FOAHK has more than 60 members representing single-family offices, multi-family offices and external asset managers, with a total AuM across all members of about $85 billion.

Besides Chi-man Kwan, other board members are Grant Ko, vice chair, from Wisdom Family Office; Jim Kwok (vice chair), Topaz Family Office; Jessica Cutrera, Leo Capital Corp (Hong Kong); Harry Pang, Fountainhead Partners, and Kenny Ho, Carret Private Capital.

The association was set up at a time when Hong Kong began rolling out programmes to bolster its family office credentials, competing with rival hubs such as Singapore and the UAE. See stories here and here for background.
