International Asset Management, Life Insurance Firm Names Hong Kong CFO

The Hong Kong subsidiary of Sun Life Financial announces a new chief financial officer.

Sun Life Hong Kong, the local business of international financial services firm Sun Life Financial, has named a new chief financial officer. 

Effective immediately, Greg Kwan becomes the new CFO, reporting to Wim Hekstra, chief executive for Hong Kong. He replaces Hannah Chan, who assumed this post in 2011 from Hang Seng Bank. The company did not say to where Chan is moving.

Kwan was previously the vice president for internal audit at Sun Life Financial Asia, which provided process and control assurance services to the firm's life insurance and asset management operationsin Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia. Prior to this regional role, he was part of Sun Life's corporate development team in Canada.

Sun Life Hong Kong provides services to around 1.1 million clients.
