International Fund Administration House Expands China Presence, Hires From UBS

A hedge fund administration group has opened a Shanghai office as part of its Asian expansion.

Custom House Global Fund Services, an international hedge fund administration specialist, has opened an office in Shanghai and hired former UBS manager Sunny Huang to develop the business. Huang will hold the role of relationship manager.

Bringing Huang on board will "strengthen our partnership with our valued clients and provide a local presence for quality fund administration solutions to clients in the Shanghai region managing offshore funds,” Tony Kan, managing director of Custom House Fund Services Hong Kong, said in a statement.

In her previous role at UBS, Huang was a client advisor assistant in Hong Kong, responsible for the day-to-day administration of onboarding clients and providing updates on their portfolios. She holds a Master of Finance (Investment Management) from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She will report to Allen Li, director of the Hong Kong office.

Custom House Global Fund Services operates in Europe, Asia and the Americas and works with hedge fund managers, start-up managers, family offices and institutional managers. It was founded in 1989 and has more than $20 billion of funds under administration.
