International Law Firm Promotes Counsels In Singapore, Hong Kong

International law firm Latham & Watkins names two Asia lawyers to partners in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Latham & Watkins, the international law firm with several offices in Asia-Pacific and coverage segments including banking and investment funds, has promoted two of its counsels to partner in Singapore and Hong Kong.

Effective from 1 March, Posit Laohaphan and Andrew Roche take a senior role in Hong Kong and Singapore, respectively. The appointment is part of a series of counsel promotions across the firm's other global offices in the US and Europe in the past week. 

Laohaphan has extensive experience in capital markets and equity derivatives transactions and also practices in areas of structured finance, banking and merger & acquisition. According to his profile on the company's website, he has represented a number of financial institutions, including Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs and HSBC, among others.

Roche is a member of the project development and finance practice group within the finance department and is experienced in project finance, acquisition finance and structured and general financing transactions. He is experienced in advising on transactions in the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East and South America. 

Besides Hong Kong and Singapore, Latham & Watkins has practices in Australia, Beijing, India, Indonesia, Korea, Shanghai and Tokyo.
