Hendry, who will report to Suzanne Cain, global head of distribution, will be based in Singapore, the firm said in a statement yesterday.
Hendry will be responsible for the overall strategy and management of Janus Henderson’s distribution functions across Asia (excluding Japan and Australia).
With 23 years’ experience in the sector under his belt, Hendry will move from abrdn (previously Aberdeen Standard Investments), where he was most recently the head of distribution – Asia-Pacific. Previously he worked at Westoun Advisors, M&G Investments and started his career at Capital Group.
