Julius Baer Names Former Deutsche Figure For Thailand Role

In the newly-created position, the banker will oversee the bank's offshore Thailand coverage and Julius Baer's JV with Siam Commercial Bank.
Julius Baer has appointed former Deutsche Bank senior figure Urs Brudermann as group head for Thailand. Based in Singapore, he will report directly to Shui Wei Ho, Thailand market head.
In this newly-created role, Brudermann will oversee the bank’s offshore Thailand coverage and its joint venture with Siam Commercial Bank, SCB Julius Baer.
Brudermann has more than 24 years of wealth management experience globally, including 12 years in Singapore where he held senior positions across various Southeast Asian markets.
At Deutsche Bank, he served as market head for Southeast Asia, primarily covering Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank in 2021, he spent 11 years at Credit Suisse in leadership roles, managing teams in Singapore and Hong Kong with a focus on Thailand and Malaysia.
“Urs’ knowledge of the Thai market, proven success in leading teams, and ability to build strong client relationships make him an invaluable asset,” Ho said.
