Julius Baer Names New Global Head Of Structured Products

The Swiss private bank said the Singapore-based promotion will be followed by other senior appointments in Asia.

Julius Baer has appointed Luigi Vignola as global head of structured products, replacing Philipp Rickenbacker.

Rickenbacker, who was in charge of structured products for almost seven years, was recently appointed as the bank’s head of advisory solutions and member of the executive board.

Vignola joined Julius Baer in 2009 and has held positions including head of markets, Asia. From 2014 he has been additionally in charge of markets and advisory solutions in Asia.

Based in Singapore, Vignola will focus on the integration of the structured products Asia offering into the global structured products organisation, before relocating to Switzerland by mid-2017.

“I am confident that with his broad expertise and international network, Luigi will positively shape the future development of structured products for the bank,” said Peter Gerlach, head of markets and member of the executive board.

Also this week, Julius Baer appointed Laura Hilber as director of its foreign exchange private banking solutions team.

The bank said further senior appointments in Asia will be announced in due course.
