Kleinwort Benson Recruits Private Banker From UBS

Kleinwort Benson, the UK wealth management firm owned by Belgium's RHJ International, has appointed Jason Turner as an executive private banker within its private wealth management team.

Turner was latterly with UBS Wealth Management, where he was a client advisor within the private wealth management team, focusing specifically on entrepreneurs and sports and entertainment clients. Before this he advised partners at top law firms and senior corporate executives.

Turner, who is based in London, reports to executive director Ben Whitworth in his new role.

Kleinwort Benson has made private wealth management a priority area of business development. The firm said it hopes Turner’s experience of working with entrepreneurs and senior executives will prove to be particularly valuable as the business expands.

In other recent hires, at the end of last month Kleinwort Benson beefed up its banking business with two appointments based in Guernsey.

Rod Keiller came on board as senior business development manager, while Meloney Cohu joined as manager of client services. Keiller was formerly head of institutional trust and executive director at Northern Trust; Cohu was previously team leader of the alternative assets team, also at Northern Trust.
