Lazard Asset Management Names Third-Party Distribution Head, Asia Ex-Japan

The firm stressed the importance of its wealth channel and the growth opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region.
Lazard Asset Management has appointed Angela Jin as head of third party distribution for Asia ex-Japan.
Based in Hong Kong, Jin will lead the firm’s distribution strategy across private banks, wealth managers and other intermediary partners in Asia ex-Japan, working closely with the regional sales and investment teams to broaden access to Lazard’s investment strategies for clients across the region.
WealthBriefingAsia has asked Lazard if Jin is taking on
a newly formed role or replacing someone who has moved, and will
update in due course.
Prior to joining the firm, she was managing director and head of
financial intermediaries, Hong Kong, at Capital Group. Before
that, Jin spent eight years at PIMCO, most recently as private
banking head, where she built the firm’s wealth management
business in North Asia. Earlier in her career, she led MSCI’s ESG
business with institutional clients across the region.
“The wealth channel is a key growth area for us. We look forward
to working with our partners to deliver differentiated,
institutional-quality investment solutions that meet the evolving
needs of their clients,” Shen Tan, MD (Asia), said.
Jin holds an Executive MBA from the University of Chicago Booth
School of Business, with Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA ®) and
Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®) designations.
