Lombard International Pushes Further Into Asian Market With Hong Kong Brokerage

The international firm has got the green light to start a Hong Kong brokerage.
Lombard International, which offers wealth structuring solutions for high net worth individuals, has been cleared by regulators to start a Hong Kong brokerage business. The subsidiary is called Lombard International Brokers.
The entity’s new office will be located in Two International Finance Centre, in the heart of Hong Kong’s financial district.
The subsidiary will serve local market needs. It will also be a “gateway for future expansion opportunities in Asia,” the firm said.
Earlier in June, Lombard International Assurance, part of the Lombard International group, opened a representative office of a subsidiary, Lombard Intermediation Services, in Paris.
Lombard International has regional headquarters in Philadelphia and Luxembourg and is owned by funds managed by Blackstone, the US investment firm. It operates through partner networks across the US, Europe and Latin America, issuing life insurance policies and annuities from the US, Luxembourg, Guernsey and Bermuda. Global assets under administration are more than $75 billion.
